Organizational Development and Leadership Initiatives
By understanding and applying
core organizational-development practices, we position ourselves,
our staff, and our organization for the next leap in growth and
productivity.
To meet the
demands of the marketplace, companies rely on their employees'
ability to plan,
execute, control, and communicate their daily activities. Unfortunately, many
companies fail to equip their leaders with the organizational skills they need
to do their jobs effectively.
Learning Curve understands that
organizational development involves creating
an environment that supports individuals as they strive
to achieve their strategic goals.
Learning Curve presents current business "best
practices," techniques, and tools in a learning
environment that lets participants try out new skills before applying them at
work.
Our Organizational Development and Leadership Programs are intended
for organizations that are ready and
able to support the development of leaders at all levels. Your employees want
to contribute. Our programs show you and your employees how to do so - every
day!
Organizational Development and Leadership Initiatives Courses
Developing and Supporting Leaders at Every
Level (Instructor-led, 2
days)
![]()
This program will help your employees master and apply "best
practices" in every situation, regardless of their role or
responsibility within the organization. Participants in these programs will
learn how they can contribute to their own success, to that of their group, and
to that of the company as a whole - simply by "acting like leaders" in every
situation they encounter.
Facilitation Skills for Project
Managers (Instructor-led, 2 days)
![]()
Good facilitation skills are best learned from our own and other's
mistakes. This highly interactive program provides a safe environment
to practice the skills and tactics introduced in the presentation. You will work
with your peers to manage real "mini-meetings" and address topics that are
important to you and your team. You will try new techniques on for size and you
will learn from your peers as they do the same thing.
Each participant
will get to be "in the spotlight" and receive immediate feedback from classmates
and the instructor. We follow the old adage of "practice makes perfect."
Making a Difference (Using Effective
Management Skills) (Instructor-led, 2
days)
![]()
The
best sales people don't always turn into the best sales managers. The
best project team members don't always become the best project managers. Top
production technicians don't automatically develop into the best production
managers. Yet companies continue to make these promotions with high expectations
and disappointing results. Why is this disappointment so common?
Because
many new managers don't know how to be efficient with things and effective with
people. They need to learn how to work successfully with individuals and with
team members.
This program helps create successful managers. By
following a step-by-step approach, participants will develop and integrate
personal and business-management skills. Each module adds action items to a
participant's development plan to build his or her capabilities. Participants
leave the program with an action plan and a commitment to complete it. The
action plan will help participants capitalize on their inherent abilities and
guide in the development of necessary new skills.
